Kuldigas council have began a project which funds come from the European Regional development  - reconstruction of the district heating. Foreseen to transform the old heating main and to arrange 4206 m to of new heating main.

In future Kuldigu will be heated by the three boiler houses, we will connect them, explains council executive director Viktors Gotfridsons. The general payments are 1 328 000 LVL: ERAF deposit – 996 000 LVL, state budget part – 132 800 LVL, self-governments –199 200 LVL.

SIA POLIURS at the same time commences work in two places: from City square boiler house as far as the old hospital and from former Vakara street boiler house to the Gaismast street 4. Yet this year section will be constructed from a City square to the Planīcas street district, from Center secondary school boiler house  on L. Paegles street to the Kalnu street, from the Torņa street to the Petera street and from the City square to the Liepajas street 49. Next year work it will take place in Kalnu and Pils (to province museum) street, and project will end in August.
